Primary Capital Leadership Programme pilot

NCSL has drawn on the best knowledge and experience from Primary Capital Programme (PCP) Pathfinder local authorities and leaders that have been involved with new build through capital investment to develop a range of professional development opportunities to support school leaders and local authorities (LAs) as they enter into the Primary Capital Programme (PCP).

These opportunities will include national conferences, online materials and face-to-face leadership programmes.

NCSL’s pilot Primary Capital Leadership Programme aims to:

• explore how school leaders can create greater capacity to act strategically during the PCP process
• enable a higher quality of visioning and engagement by school leaders at the beginning of the process to ensure better quality school building developments
• exploit the unique opportunity to develop learning environments to support a transformational change in education

The Future website has been developed both to support the delivery of the NCSL Building Schools for the Future (BSF) and Primary Capital Programme (PCP) leadership programmes and to encourage wider discussion within the communities of schools and local authorities involved.
