New Visions
Overview
The New Visions programme forms the core of NCSL’s new Early Headship Provision (EHP). New Visions is an innovative, year-long personal and professional development programme for all new headteachers. Built on powerful learning models, it promotes change through fostering a long-term commitment to leadership learning.
The programme:
- enables headteachers to generate new understandings about themselves and their schools, and develop enduring leadership learning skills – through study, problem solving and peer support
- offers a forum for new headteachers to engage in professional dialogue, encouraging an exchange of perspectives and challenge within a safe and supportive environment
- draws on the best national and international research, focusing on powerful approaches to learning and leadership which will have direct impact on headteacher’s schools
- provides the opportunity for new headteachers to learn from and with each other
I take more risks – with confidence in the collective knowledge and experience of groups.
