Learning Gateway

NCSL‘s Learning Gateway is a rich online learning environment providing a wide range of continuous professional development opportunities for school leaders.

The Learning Gateway hosts an extensive range of high quality, multimedia e-learning content. While much of this content is blended into specific NCSL programmes, an increasing amount of our e-learning content is openly available to all members of the Learning Gateway. The Gateway also hosts NCSL‘s online communities. Many of these communities are integrated into NCSL programmes whilst an extensive number are open to all members of the Learning Gateway. They offer members a wide range of opportunities to engage in vital professional dialogue with peers from across the education sector.

Learning Gateway training and support

All participants on NCSL programmes will normally receive approximately one hour of training in the use of the Learning Gateway at an individual computer in an ICT suite as part of the overall induction session for the particular programme.

Programme participants are supported in their use of the Gateway by their tutors and coaches All members of the Gateway also have access to a support desk, which is open on weekdays from 8am to 9pm. Telephone 0845 609 0009 or email [email protected].
