Getting the most out of online learning

NCSL has a number of training courses designed to help you get more out of our online learning and community environments, collectively known as the Learning Gateway.

Training courses available

• Learning Gateway training: live, online sessions providing an overview of NCSL‘s online communities and hands-on training on how to use the Learning Gateway.
• learn2learn online: a self-paced online course designed to develop the knowledge and skills needed to become confident a online learner. The resources cover the general and transferrable skills needed to use the internet effectively and to learn and collaborate online.
• Online facilitation and tutoring (OFAT): an introduction to the skills required to promote and enable learning in an online community.
• Online mentor course: an opportunity to become an official online mentor, or take part as a ‘mentee’ and receive one-to-one help with talk2learn.
