NCSL is a signatory to the Protocol on Data Sharing and Rationalisation in the Schools Sector. The protocol seeks to minimise the burden of data collection on schools and local authorities by collecting data once and sharing it to support individual pupil learning, whole school improvement and system-wide capacity building.
